Personalized Therapeutics Seminar Series and Journal Club

The Personalized Therapeutics Seminar Series and Journal Club provide weekly sessions in the basic elements of clinical pharmacology and pharmacogenetics through small group discussions, seminars and journal clubs that review both the "classic" literature and articles that are of current interest. The Division of Clinical Pharmacology Personalized Therapeutics seminars represent a more focused series of high quality speakers. These include a speaker of national repute from outside the medical center approximately once per month. In addition, faculty members in the Division present at least one research seminar per year and fellows are expected to make formal presentations of their research once per year in this format. For fellows these presentations are in addition to regular journal club presentations and lab meeting discussions of data. They are also expected to present posters of their research at the national American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT), American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), and/or pediatric meetings (e.g., the Society for Pediatric Research). The structure of the typical week with the required activities of fellows is outlined in the Table below.
