Spotlighting Success

Chen's Cardiac technology
earns MIRA Award

Medtronic Zipes Chair in Cardiology Peng-Sheng Chen was awarded Techpoint's Innovation of the Year honors at the technology group's annual ceremony. Chen's work to develop technology that could detect cardiac emergencies is part of his work with Arrhythmotech, an IU-based startup. Read Inside Indiana Business' article for more details.

IU researchers among team
studying decreasing dementia

A group of IU Center for Aging Research and Regenstrief Institute investigators are working on the nation's first program to use telemedicine to deliver training and programs aimed at those who have experienced delirium while in intensive care units. Details on the work, supported by a more than $3 million National Institute on Aging grant, are available here.

Trustees Teaching Award goes to Khan

Babar Khan, assistant professor of medicine in the division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, will receive a 2017 Indiana University School of Medicine Trustee Teaching Award. The awards are given annually to faculty across the university.

Research Competition winners announced

Fellows and Residents from the Department of Medicine's various programs recently showcased their work.
In the Fellows competition:
