Pedro Granadillo leads by example. A former Eli Lilly & Company executive, Granadillo became a participant in the Executive Health Program when he retired from Lilly a few years ago. Experiencing what he describes as an "outstanding" program, he has been diligent when it comes to having his annual physicals. He also has been the driving force behind his family's participation. "My daughter-in-law and son are going to go see Dr. Busk and my wife already has her physical scheduled," Granadillo says. "You're never too young to start focusing on your health."
He values the care he receives from Dr. Michael Busk, director of the program. "The thoroughness of the annual physical is something I've appreciated. Dr. Busk takes plenty of time with the data and is great at giving you materials and recommendations for things you can do from a wellness perspective. He is good with preventive medicine and I've really valued that. Mike Busk's accessibility is something I appreciate. I know I have access to him 24/7. That gives me a great sense of comfort." Granadillo resides in Naples, Florida now but he doesn't allow the warm climate and serenity of the south to entice him away from getting his annual physical in Indianapolis. "It's good to have access to the best in Indianapolis and to know I can see them quickly. The staff members there are all so caring," he notes.
Today, Mr. Granadillo takes special care to eat well and exercise. "I wouldn't consider myself to be an A+ exerciser but I do exercise more than I did," he says. Without a doubt Mr. Granadillo is setting a good example for many people including his family. After all, they are following his lead.
