Marcela Chacon, MD – 1 year fellowship
Dr. Chacon graduated from the Family Medicine Resident with the IU School of Medicine.  She is looking forward to working with interdisciplinary teams and being a strong team player to ensure the best care for older adults.  During her residency she volunteered for health education events where free screening tests and medical consults were offered to Hispanic patients in Indianapolis.
Dr. Enciso completed medical school at the Universidad El Bosque-Escuela Colombiana de Medicinea, Bogota, Colombia. Dr. Chacon is scheduled to complete her Geriatric Medicine fellowship in October and has accepted a position as a hospitalist with IU Health.

Jennifer Carnahan, MD, MPH, MA- Advanced Geriatrics Research Fellow
Jennifer Carnahan is a board certified Internist and Geriatrician who completed a unique combined 4-year internal medicine-geriatrics fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.  After that, she was the Chief Resident for Quality and Patient Safety at the Medical College and the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, where she used every opportunity she could get to teach the internal medicine residents principles of geriatric care.  As part of her clinical duties here, she carries a primary care patient panel in the geriatrics clinic at the Eskenazi Center for Senior Health. She is starting her second year of a two year research fellowship at the IU Center for Aging Research. Dr. Alexia Torke is her primary mentor. Her area of research interest is in transitions of care and outcomes for short-stay patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities.  Prior to living in the Midwest, Dr. Carnahan attended medical school at the University of Virginia. Despite all the moving around, she is and always will be a Green Bay Packers fan.

Matthew Wolenski, M.D. – 1 year Fellow
Dr. Wolenski graduated from the IUSM, Family Medicine residency program, June 30, 2015.  He has gained experience working within the IU system, managing a wide range of patient populations and performing detailed physical exams.  Dr. Wolenski expresses empathy and compassion working with patients, gaining their trust and confidence.  He looks forward to expanding his training in the field of Geriatric Medicine.  Dr. Wolenski graduated from Ross University School of Medicine.

Robert Young, M.D. – 1 year Fellow
Dr. Young has served as a Hospital Medicine Clinician-Researcher at the University of Kentucky and Northwestern University. His prior training includes a fellowship in Health Services Research at Northwestern University and Internal Medicine residency at Christiana Care Health System. As a result of Dr. Young’s past clinical and research work, he is pursuing additional training in Geriatric Medicine in order to further his ability to optimize inpatient systems of care for elders. Dr. Young graduated from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
