About Education and Training

We utilize the Infectious Diseases Division’s research portfolio and clinical expertise to educate students, residents and fellows in the field of Infectious Diseases. The Indiana University Infectious Diseases ACGME accredited fellowship is a multi-campus, subspecialty training program in clinical infectious diseases. ID clinical fellows have opportunities to participate in epidemiologic, clinical, implementation, and basic science research in addition to their clinical experiences. A third and fourth year of fellowship is available to ID fellows who are interested in pursuing a career in research. Funding for the additional years of fellowship is available through the division, individual research projects and an NIH-funded T32 Training Grant. Unique to our ID Fellowship is the opportunity to participate in clinical rotations and/or research in Kenya as well as other parts of East Africa.
