Kirsten received her bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia. She completed medical school at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. After medical school, she completed a residency in Family Medicine at Northeast Iowa Medical Education Foundation- University of Iowa. She practiced Family Medicine with procedures for four years prior to returning to training as a Palliative Medicine Fellow at Indiana University.
Kirsten is particularly interested in Hospice Medicine and Clinical Medical Ethics.She spends her free time with her husband and 3 young children.
