Bio

A Louisiana native and graduate of Louisiana State Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, Dr. Weaver moved to Indianapolis to complete her Medicine-Pediatrics residency training at IU School of Medicine. A 2010 recipient of the prestigious ASTDA Developmental Award, Dr. Weaver focused her research early in her career on the natural history of oral HPV infection, HPV infection in adolescent males and the behavioral correlates of STI acquisition in adolescents. She then transitioned to focus on clinical practice. She served as the clinical director of Infectious Diseases at Eskenazi Health from 2013 to 2021, when she was chosen to be the Chief of Medicine at Eskenazi Health and the Joseph J. Mamlin Scholar. Dr. Weaver serves as the Medical Director of the Midwest AIDS Training and Education center- Indiana (MATEC-IN). Her clinical practice consists of inpatient and outpatient ID consults as well as care of children and adults living with HIV.
