Bio

Dr. Tisdale is a Professor in the College of Pharmacy at Purdue University and Adjunct Professor, School of Medicine, Indiana University. Dr. Tisdale earned his BSc in pharmacy at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada and his PharmD at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed a pharmacy practice residency at the University of Manitoba Health Sciences Centre and a postdoctoral fellowship in Cardiovascular Pharmacology & Therapeutics at Hartford Hospital and the University of Connecticut. From 1990-2002 he was Assistant/Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Wayne State University and Coordinator, Education and Training, Department of Pharmacy, Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Jim is a fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, the American Pharmacists Association, The National Academies of Practice, and the American Heart Association.

  • Research

    Dr. Tisdale's research focuses on the prevention and management of naturally occurring and drug-induced arrhythmias. In addition, Jim is co-editor of the book, Drug-Induced Diseases: Prevention, Detection and Management, the 3rd edition of which will be published early in 2018.
