Bio
Dr. Felipe Perez, Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the division of Geriatrics, joined IU School of Medicine as a faculty member in August 2009. He is also the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program Director of Indiana University Medical School, overseeing the training of Geriatric Medicine fellows. He is a Medical director of the Senior Health Center and the Acute Care for the Elderly Inpatient Unit IU Health Methodist hospital. Besides these clinical and leadership roles, he is involved in basic science and clinical research work in the area of Biology of Aging, Age-related diseases, Dementia, and Delirium. Before moving to Indianapolis, Dr. Perez was the geriatric Medicine fellowship Program Director at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Illinois. He did his residency in Internal Medicine and a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at Loyola University, Maywood, Illinois.
