The Division of Hematology/Oncology believes strongly in the educational mission of the School of Medicine. We are actively training new clinicians and scientists who wish to pursue careers in hematology and oncology. Our fellowship program gives a well rounded education to young physicians who plan to pursue careers in our field. Furthermore, we also train doctoral candidates who are planning careers in basic and translational research related to benign hematology or cancer medicine.
In addition to our formal training programs, we offer weekly educational conferences, including the IU Simon Cancer Center Grand Rounds and the Cancer Center Combined Seminar Series.
Finally, we strongly believe in providing forums for Continuing Medical Education for the community. Our faculty currently host the highly-regarded annual American Society of Clinical Society Meeting review and a review of the Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.
