The Infectious Diseases Division is dedicated to providing education, patient care and research in the area of Infectious Diseases. Research interests are in the areas of HIV/AIDS, Histoplasmosis, other sexually transmitted diseases including Chlamydia, Haemophilus ducreyi and human papillomavirus infection, infections in immunocompromised hosts, and Legionella infections. Resources include the Midwest Sexually Transmitted Diseases Research Center and the AIDS Clinical Trials Unit. The Division’s Travel and Tropical Medicine clinic offers pre- and post travel treatment advice for international travelers.
