Current Studies

Studies for persons with HIV infection

Yu Blood Sample Study
  • HIV infected
  • At least 18 years old

Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria:

  • CD4 count > (greater than) 200
  • HIV viral load < (less than) 50
  • Currently taking HIV medications for more than 1 year
  • Participation is 1 visit
  • You will be asked to consent to a blood draw that will be used for HIV-related research

Compensation:

  • $25.00

  • 1 visit

REPRIEVE

Objective: To determine if a statin drug can prevent heart attacks and strokes in patients with HIV infection.

Eligible Population

  • 40 to 75 years old
  • HIV +
  • On HIV mediciations for 6 months or longer
  • CD4 count at least 100

Compensation:

  • A total of $370 for completion of all study visits

Duration of Study:

  • Study participation is 6 visits in the first year then every 4 months for approximately 3 1/2 - 6 years.

Studies for Healthy Volunteers

  • Healthy (Not HIV infected)
  • Participation is 1 visit
  • You will be asked to consent to a blood draw that will be used for HIV-related research
  • Risks disclosed prior to participation

Compensation:

  • $25

Duration of Study:

  • One visit
