Research Interests:

Pathogenesis, treatment, and prevention of sexually transmitted viral infections. The primary focus has been on HSV 2 and HPV as well as an interest in the interaction of these pathogens with HIV. The latter area includes the role of HSV 2 in promoting HIV transmission and the role of HIV in accelerating HPV-associated cancers.
