The cardiovascular program at the Indiana University School of Medicine is recognized throughout the world for its commitment to
excellence in patient care, research, and education. While we're known for our experience and ability to take care of the most
complex cardiovascular problems, we are equally focused on prevention and early detection.
A key feature of the Krannert Institute of Cardiology is comprehensive care. Our cardiologists offer expertise in the full
range of heart and blood vessel problems, and our treatments range all the way from life style modification to implanted heart-assist
devices and transplantation. Specialized programs include heart rhythm disorder ablation and pacemaker and defibrillator
implantation, coronary and peripheral vascular angioplasty, cardiomyopathy and advanced heart failure treatments, and heart
valve disorders. Many of our advanced programs are situated at the Indiana University Health Cardiovascular Center. The Krannert team of physicians and scientists working in clinical and basic research work to make sure our patients are able to get the most advanced treatments.
