Our Cardiology Division/Krannert Institute of Cardiology provides educational services for medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows. Our ACGME accredited fellowship programs in cardiovascular disease, clinical cardiac electrophysiology, and interventional cardiology routinely attract candidates of highest quality. Several cardiology fellows also participate in the American Board of Internal Medicine research pathway. New fellowships in heart failure and transplantation also have been established. Our fellows have been successful in garnering awards within the Department of Medicine and in competitions at national scientific meetings. Additional programs that are not ACGME accredited are heart failure and Feigenbaum fellowship. Several cardiology fellows also participate in the American Board of Internal Medicine research pathway. New fellowships in heart failure and transplantation also have been established. Our fellows have been successful in garnering awards within the Department of Medicine and in competitions at national scientific meetings.

The Krannert Institute of Cardiology provides Continuing Medical Education at the local, regional, and national levels. This includes weekly conferences at the Krannert Institute, as well as our annual cardiology update for primary care physicians. A major highlight is the annual Joan and Douglas Zipes Visiting Professor program.
