Bio

Accomplishments

Biographical Summary:

Dr. Bourdillon was raised in Zimbabwe and completed both his undergraduate and medical education at Oxford University, London. He joined the Indiana University School of Medicine and Krannert Institute in 1986, specializing in invasive and interventional cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Royal College of Physicians. He also is a Diplomate in the American Board of Internal Medicine with sub-specialties in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology.

Dr. Bourdillon's particular interest is in cardiac physical examination. He developed and oversees a Cardiovascular Physical Examination Teaching Module at the IU School of Medicine. He has a special interest in interventional work, including percutaneous coronary intervention and stenting. He has developed a particular expertise in balloon mitral valvuloplasy for rheumatic mitral valve stenosis.
