Accomplishments

Biographical Summary:

Jothiharan (Jo) Mahenthiran is an assistant professor of clinical medicine at the IU School of Medicine's Krannert Institute of Cardiology where he also serves as the Director of Nuclear Cardiology and Co-Director of Cardiac Imaging. Prior to his affiliation with Indiana University, he completed fellowships at Royal Brompton Hospital, London, UK, St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, Columbia University, New York, New York, and Coney Island Hospital, Cornell Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Jo Mahenthiran specializes in multimodality cardiac imaging and has specialized expertise in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiac CT/MRI. He is a professional member and a fellow of numerous organizations and is certified in all modes of cardiac imaging. He is an active investigator of many individual and national multi-center clinical trials and has published in topics related to cardiac imaging. His research interest includes noninvasive risk stratification and assessment of clinical outcomes with various imaging modalities.
