Bio

Accomplishments

Biographical Summary:

Dr. Byers is a graduate of Georgetown University and received his medical training at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at IU before serving as chief resident at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

Dr. Byers joined the Krannert Institute of Cardiology as an assistant professor of clinical medicine after completing a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the Institute. He is a clinical cardiologist with training in cardiac imaging including echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. His clinical interests include pre-operative cardiac evaluation and diseases of the aorta. Dr. Byers is active both at the Krannert Institute and at Clarian West, Indianapolis. He also has a keen interest in medical education and is actively involved in education at the IU School of Medicine.
