Bio

Accomplishments

Biographical Summary:

Dr. Brian Johnstone received his MS degree in biology from Florida International University and his PhD degree in biology from the University of Maryland College Park. He currently is an associate scientist at the Indiana Center for Vascular Biology and Medicine and the Krannert Institute of Cardiology.

As part of his research, Dr. Johnstone has received patents for creating methods for designing exogenous regulatory molecules and for pharmacogenomics and identification of drug targets by reconstruction of signal transduction pathways based on sequences of accessible regions. He is a member of the American Heart Association.
