I am delighted that you are considering our Fellowship Program in Palliative Care at Indiana University!  We are dedicated to training and educating compassionate physicians in the care of patients with life-threatening illness.  Since 2006, we have been committed to developing leaders in the field of Palliative Medicine.  Our past fellows have gone on to practice and assume leadership positions in Indiana and abroad.  Please explore our website to learn more about our fellowship program.

Our fellowship offers the option to pursue a one-year clinical track or two-year track for a career in academic Palliative Medicine.  During that time, fellows will experience a variety of clinical environments ranging from the NAPH-member Wishard Health Services to local area hospices.  They will also be exposed to the diverse patient population located in Indianapolis.

Alongside the development of clinical skills, we offer unique opportunities to our fellows.  The IU-Kenya Partnership provides an elective for fellows to travel to Kenya and work at Moi Teaching and Referral hospital (MTRH), with the goal of relieving suffering and improving the quality of life in Western Kenya.  Other opportunities include collaborative learning from our weekly conferences where fellows or other IUSM faculty share their research and clinical experiences.

We look forward to answering any of your questions and thank you for considering our program!
