The Center for Sleep Disorders maintains a clinic for the evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders that is staffed by specialists skilled in caring for these patients. In this clinic our sleep specialists evaluate and treat a wide variety of sleep and circadian rhythm complaints and disorders, including:

• Excessive Sleepiness
• Insomnia
• Narcolepsy
• Periodic Limb Movement Disorder
• Restless Legs Syndrome
• Sleep Apnea
• Sleep Talking
• Sleep Walking
• REM Sleep Behavior Disorder
• Sleep complaints as part of other medical illnesses

The clinic is affiliated with the Sleep Disorders Laboratory (SDL), an eight bed facility that has been evaluating patients since 1988. In the SDL, patients who are referred for sleep testing undergo detailed polysomnographic testing by trained technologists. The majority of the technologists in this facility are registered polysomnographic technologists (RPSGT) and all are skilled in polysomnographic techniques. Since first opening its doors, this facility has performed more than 8000 studies. As part of the routine functions of the University, the SDL and has routinely participated in training physicians and other medical personnel in the art of sleep medicine. In addition, the SDL sponsors an active Continuing Medical Education (CME) program to provide ongoing sleep training for physicians and technologists.

The main clinic is located in the Medical Diagnostic Center on the second floor of the Outpatient Pavilion next to University Hospital.
