Kenneth Fife, M.D.
Dr. Kenneth Fife

Dr. Fife is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He is also a Professor of Microbiology & Immunology and a Professor of Pathology at the school. His area of research interest is the pathogenesis, treatment, and prevention of viral sexually transmitted diseases.

Dr. Fife received his A.B., M.D., and Ph.D. degrees from the Johns Hopkins University. He did his Internal Medicine training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He then did an Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle. He has been a member of the Indiana University School of Medicine faculty since completing his fellowship.

Dr. Fife has published over 100 papers in the medical and scientific literature. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal Sexually Transmitted Diseases and he has served on the executive board of the American Sexually Transmitted Diseases Association. He is an advisor to the American Social Health Association for their nationwide "Stop the spread of herpes" campaign. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and is a member of numerous scientific societies.
