Lawrence Lumeng, M.D. is an accomplished researcher on alcoholic liver diseases and the genetic determinants of alcoholism. He previously served as an officer of several major professional societies such as Research Society on Alcoholism, Central Society for Clinical Research, American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. He also served on the Editorial Board of journals such as Hepatology, Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research, and Seminars in Liver Disease.
