Bruce A. Molitoris, M.D. completed his fellowship training in nephrology at The University of Colorado and is currently Professor of Medicine, Director of Nephrology and Director of the Indiana Center for Biological Microscopy at Indiana University. His research expertise includes acute kidney injury and the utilization of two photon microscopy to study intravital processes within the kidney. He has active grant support from the NIH, the VA and several pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
Dr. Molitoris is the Chairperson of the American Society of Nephrology Acute Kidney Injury Advisory Committee, is involved in numerous NIH committees and is a previous program chairman of the Annual American Society of Nephrology Scientific Meeting. He is also actively involved in the National Kidney Foundation and is a member of the National Scientific Advisory Board. He has lectured nationally and internationally on acute kidney injury and the use of two photon microscopy to study dynamic kidney processes under physiologic and pathophysiologic conditions.
