IU Renal Consults at University
The team typically consists of one attending, one fellow, one medicine resident, and the number of medical students may vary. The average number of consults is about 20 per month. The resident is expected to attend the Wishard Renal Clinic on Tuesday afternoon.

IU Renal Consults at Methodist
This month is an elective in nephrology with IU staff at Methodist, including Dr. Dollins, Dr. Mishler, and Dr. Kraus. There is no overnight call obligation during this month.

Renal Consults at Methodist (non IU)
The month will include all aspects of clinical Nephrology with a preceptor format. The resident will participate in inpatient consultations, which typically include acute renal failure, unexplained chronic renal insufficiency, nephritic syndrome and electrolyte disorders. Also admitting patients with chronic renal failure in which primary management of dialysis related complications as well as other general medical problems occur. Outpatient experience includes options of office follow up of general Nephrology problems and outpatient dialysis unit patient follow up. Renal transplant experience can be included if requested.

IU Renal Consults at VA
The VA consult service typically consists of one attending, one fellow, and 1-2 medicine residents. The average number of consults is about 24 per month. The VA consult resident is expected to attend the VA Renal Clinic, which is held Tuesday afternoons.

IU Renal Consults at Wishard
The team typically consists of one attending, one fellow, one-two medicine residents, and the number of medical students may vary. The average number of consults at Wishard is about 40 per month. The resident is expected to attend the Wishard Renal Clinic on Tuesday afternoon.
